This Wiki is running on old Dell GX1 with Redhat 9 Linux and Apache 2, automatically managed by the LCFG configuration system from Informatics.
I chose this Wiki from the selection reviewed on WikiPedia because it was reviewed as simple, modular, and written in Perl. It seems to work fine, and I didn't do any sort of comparison.
I installed from the instructions, with only a couple of noteworthy comments:
It needs a whole bunch of Perl
modules. I got all the ones that weren't already installed from CPAN
and converted them with cpan2rpm
I also implemented the University EASE authentication service. The instructions for doing this aren't perfect, but they provide an adequate guide. Of particular note ..
The supplied Cosign filter package does not build directly for Apache 2 - this requires some hand-tweaking. There should be a new version available shortly which fixes this.
You need to make sure that the /var/cosign/filter directory exists and is writable by the apache server.
