This Wiki is running on old Dell GX1 with Redhat 9 Linux and Apache 2, automatically managed by the LCFG configuration system from Informatics.

I chose this Wiki from the selection reviewed on WikiPedia because it was reviewed as simple, modular, and written in Perl. It seems to work fine, and I didn't do any sort of comparison.

I installed from the instructions, with only a couple of noteworthy comments:

• It needs a whole bunch of Perl modules. I got all the ones that weren't already installed from CPAN and converted them with cpan2rpm.
• The RH9 Perl/CGI combination is broken. I installed the latest CGI module from CPAN and it seems OK. See http://www.nntp.perl.org/group/perl.kwiki/6

I also implemented the University EASE authentication service. The instructions for doing this aren't perfect, but they provide an adequate guide. Of particular note ..

• The supplied Cosign filter package does not build directly for Apache 2 - this requires some hand-tweaking. There should be a new version available shortly which fixes this.
• You need to make sure that the /var/cosign/filter directory exists and is writable by the apache server.
